Announcements

December 2025: Dear members,
As the festive season is finally upon us, we wanted to take a moment to reach out and express our deepest gratitude to each and every one of you. Looking back at everything we have achieved together throughout 2025, it is clear that the strength of the club lies in its members. Thank you for your continued dedication and for making this club such a special place to be. We wish you a very Merry Christmas and a healthy, prosperous start to 2026. We look forward to welcoming you all in the coming year!

November 2025: On Remembrance Day in the UK, the nation pauses in solemn reflection to honour the brave servicemen and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Symbolized by the resilient red poppy that grew on the battle-scarred fields of Flanders, this day serves as a poignant reminder of the devastating human cost of war. From the national ceremony at the Cenotaph in London to local memorials in villages and towns, the country unites in observing a two-minute silence at the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, ensuring that their service and bravery are never forgotten. In the words of the Kohima Epitaph, it is a day to say, “For your tomorrow, we gave our today,” a debt that can never be repaid. The below wreath shows a small token of our respect and that we will always remember them.

April 2025: The club can announce we have a new bandit for the members to play! Thank you for your continued support.

March 2025: The club are delighted to announce a new draught stout, as of the 14th March 2025. The stout is called Trailblazer and it comes from an independent brewery in Manchester called Joseph Holt which dates back to 1849.

Silky smooth, rich and satisfying, you’ll be first captured by the surging body leading the way into a full, tight, creamy head that follows you down the glass. Distinct roasted barley creates a smoky, dark roast coffee aroma with hints of treacle, liquorice and nutty notes.

Full without being heavy, the velvety body develops into deep, characterful flavours of dark chocolate and malt, fully complimented by a striking balance of bitterness and sweetness with a fine, dry finish. Trailblazer is a refreshing and distinguished session stout served chilled from the bar with nitrogen for an extra smooth mouthfeel.

Trailblazer took a silver medal at the 2021 International Brewing Awards!

A pioneering black and white northern stout as described by real pioneering stout drinkers.

As you will be aware Guinness surger is no longer available, thank you for your understanding and your continued support.
